Hello, HueGlow!

I have been super excited about trying out LiveTinted’s products. As a fellow brown girl, I am happy to support another brown #girlboss!

As you may have seen in my previous posts, I am still on the hunt for the best whitecast-less sunscreen.I actually wanted to try their sunscreen but it’s currently sold out!

While I’m waiting for that to be restocked, the HueGlow serum caught my eye as I was browsing Ulta. I like my makeup products to be good for my skin—otherwise it feels like I’m just reversing all the hard work that goes into my skincare routine!

I ordered the Dawn (illuminating rose gold) shade. The color is beautiful and it has a nice shimmer. A little goes a long way with this product! I felt like the consistency would pile up if I used too much of the product so I recommend not using more than a dime-sized amount.

I liked the way my skin had a nice, glistening look. I would say it wasn’t as hydrating as I expected it to be, especially since it was a serum-meets-moisturizer highlight.
I think the product is meant to be more of an alternative to make-up highlight than vice versa.
My brain that loves multifunctional things thought this could work as a main moisturizer with the added bonus of a nice shimmery look! 😂

I think it’s still a nice product and make-up lovers will enjoy it. It’s something that you can put on if you want a simple look or if you want to add some glow to a full-face of make-up as a nice touch. I have a new item on my hunt that I’ve just added—hydrating moisturizers that don’t clog your skin and have nice shimmering highlight!
