One of my favorite ways to destress and pamper myself is to use a nice face mask to rejuvenate my skin. I have really come to enjoy the various “K-Beauty” face masks that have been trending.
These masks are convenient to find, since they can often be ordered online or found at a local pharmacy at a price range of $2.50-$5.00 each.

I prefer using sheet masks since the eye/mouth cut-outs make it easy to apply. I also often enjoy the reactions people make when they see my masked-face. 😆
Recently, I tried two face masks from Lapcos: hyaluronic acid and collagen.

As you may have seen from my previous posts, I am a big fan of skincare products with hyaluronic acid and this mask did not disappoint. After leaving it on my face for about 20 minutes, my skin felt smoother and brighter. Though my complexion felt brighter, some of my blemishes from past acne were still visible but I did not expect all my skin problems to disappear within 15-20 minutes from using this mask. I had a similar experience with the collagen face mask. After using the collagen mask, my skin was smoother and softer, leaving a nice, refreshing feeling.

I recommend using these masks once in a while as a fun pampering session to avoid the risk of over-masking. Over-masking occurs when a face mask is applied too frequently and can lead to more skin problems, such as skin barrier disruption. Your skin may feel more dry or itchy to compensate for the oils that were stripped and other problems that arise from overusing the masks

So yes, it is possible to do too much of a good thing!
