Ole Henriksen: Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser

Hi! My name is Thandiwe Kesi and I’m one of the co-founders of Skinterest. And at Skinterest, we are all in when it comes to our skin.

I would describe my skin as dry as hell and prone to both redness and dry spots (the kind of dry spots associated with psoriasis and eczema). So, finding a good cleanser that doesn’t dry me out is important to me. This means I tend to not go with cleansers that have a foamy or super sudsy quality. If I do my face will feel taut and start to crack (been there, done that, do not want to do it again).

So, when my last facial cleanser (CosRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser) ran out which was a solid 5/10 to me because if dried out my skin and lathered way too much. I knew I needed to take my hard earned money and go into Sephora to buy something that I could actually feel the texture of.

When I left the store, I ended up spending $28 (not including tax) on 5oz of Ole Henriksen Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser. And it’s already performing better than I expected. This product is formulated with neem seed oil, lactic acid, glycolic acid and a proprietary blend called Green Fusion Complex. And what I like about it is it doesn’t lather a ton in my hands or on my face, so I don’t feel like I’m using liquid soap. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and my skin looks brighter and while I still have some dry spots on my forehead they’re beginning to clear up.

Since it generally takes up to a month to see how well a product is working for you, I’ll update this review in about two weeks to let you know my final opinion and if I come across any cons, but for now I’m enjoying this facial cleanser.

Talk to you soon.

XOXO, Thandi
